Last Thursday, three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped as they were
returning home from their Jewish seminary:
Naftali Frankel (16), Gilad Shaar (16), and Eyal Yifrach (19)
The Israeli government believes that these boys are being held by the terrorist group, Hamas. Their whereabouts and their well-being are currently unknown.
We in CUFI believe strongly in the importance of action. We also believe deeply in the power of prayer. Now is a time for Israeli action to recover these three students. And now is the time for all of us in CUFI to pray.
We must pray that these precious boys are still well.
We must pray that the Israelis are successful in their search for them.
We must pray that all three will soon be reunited with their anguished families.
A longtime friend of CUFI, Mike Cohen, lives in Jerusalem and has volunteered to comfort the families of these missing boys. He is visiting with them and telling them that they are not alone. When he next visits the families, Mr. Cohen will deliver to each a list of Americans praying for them and their precious children. We know that this list will comfort their parents. And we are believing in the words of Psalm 91 that God will protect and preserve these boys.
Blessings to you and those you love,
