Now that Donald Trump completed his sweep of the electoral games while wholly unmasking of the mainstream media lie machine, America can clearly focus on the vision Trump laid forth for the nation over the past 18 months. A beautiful but simple vision: Make America Great Again! We deplorables in fly-over country all know what this means. And we are all in. Last night’s Thank You Wisconsin rally said it all.
For starters, the stage backdrop of beautifully decorated Christmas Trees framing Trump and his podium bannered with the magical words “Merry Christmas” screamed to media has-beens and Leftists of all stripes that the progressive prison of political correctness has been destroyed. No longer will the media decide what narrative is appropriate or relevant. Any politicians cow towing to such foolishness expose themselves as the cowards they really are. Trump has plowed the way out. Take it and run with it!
He delivered his personal narrative about how he felt as election day drew near, the strategy his team employed and the hours of anticipation on Election Day with uninhibited candor and unpretentious detail. He shared the staunch faith of his wife as doubts about winning a hard sought victory crept into his psyche. It felt to me as if we were all sitting at a big table in the back of the corner tavern listening to a tale from one of our bar buddies. It was that intimate.
And the salient point of his epic story:
When they declared that Wisconsin had gone for Trump, then the world knew it was over. Trump would be the next President of the United States of America! America would become great again!
Trump’s record as a builder and maker of things that actually work led to his selection as the GOP nominee and explains the reason Trump ultimately got elected. Our political class embodied cowardliness and lack of respect for the people they supposedly represented. Somehow these politicians, their immensely ignorant and haughty media allies, and their army of bureaucrats decided that they were our slave masters and slave drivers. That meme has ended, and rather abruptly.
What Trump accomplished since his election victory demonstrates why he got elected and what he plans to do. His announced selections of cabinet members received accolades from all corners of our movement for the most part and belie the resolve Trump exudes to tackle these challenges head on. His pick for EPA administrator, HUD secretary and Attorney General could not send a stronger message that he means business.
Trump has also proven to be immensely forgiving regarding past tiffs, insults and differences. He provided high praise for Governor Walker on several occasions during the speech and reconfirmed his healed relationship with House Speaker Paul Ryan, articulating his complete confidence in Ryan’s ability to lead the way on several key issues. He continues to build a competent leadership team with the unspoken expectation that any problem America faces can be more than suitably resolved.
Eight years ago things could not have looked more different. After the devastating election of 2008 we all saw hard times ahead. After complete abandonment of principle on the GOP side and a Democrat Party fully committed to Barack Obama’s vision to “fundamentally transform” America, we knew that our time had come to step forward and fight for our Republic as founded under God. What started as social gatherings among like-minded neighbors and friends completely restructured the political landscape of Wisconsin in 2010 and the federal Congress in 2010 and 2014. In 2016 the final piece of our political restructuring came to pass in the election of Donald Trump.
Now action rules our way forward. And our army stands ready to defend all of the courageous that lead our way onward. We’ve demonstrated it here in Wisconsin. We will fulfill our commitment to our nation. Yesterday I attended the Fox Valley Initiative luncheon in Appleton. The guest presenter, Mike LeMay, authored a book entitled “The Death of Christian Thought: The Deception of Humanism and how to Protect Yourself” and gave a terrific description of how the humanistic philosophy embeded itself in American political thought and culture. Many Christian churches have been targeted by humanists to augment Biblical teaching to conform with the humanistic idea of man as fully sufficient, i.e not needing God. Mike portends God’s forgiving nature in stretching out his hand to help those who have called upon his grace to give America another chance to restore itself under his guiding law of love. Most of us in our movement realized all of our nation’s ills derive from our falling away from acknowledgment and trust in God as provider. Let us hope we utilize this renewed opportunity to build our nation into a reflection of God’s supreme law that necessarily must guide all we do.
Another interesting comment Mike made involved an alleged statement from Vice President elect Mike Pence. Paraphrasing, Pence said that Donald Trump truly wishes to become an Evangelical Christian in the fullest sense, he just doesn’t know how yet. Let’s pray that Mr. Trump figures that out. The Lord God again shed his Grace on Thee, America! Let us wish all of our family, friends, neighbors and rivals the best and merriest of Christmas and remember to keep the gift of the Savior in your heart forever.
