On January 5 and February 2, many Rock Haven staff chose to quit or walk off the job in light of this extreme mandate.
The next round of forced vaccinations is scheduled for March according to a local news report which will lead to a predicted departure of even more staff.
In light of this staffing crisis, Pro-Life Advocates should be asking:
What is Happening to the Elderly and Disabled Patients?
- Are patients receiving their medications on schedule?
- Are med errors occurring because nurses are working significant overtime?
- Are patients being turned on schedule to prevent bed sores?
- Are incontinent patients being tended to in a timely manner?
- Are patients receiving their prescribed Physical and Occupational Therapy?
Here is a statement by one of Rock Haven's residents:
I am a resident of Rock Haven and this mandate of the vaccine has made us short staffed and the staff that is here are over worked. I think that anybody should be able to make a choice if they want the vaccine or not and not lose their job over over their decision!
Because staff refused to roll up their sleeves and take a vaccine that has not received FDA approval, the staff are basically considered ‘unfit’ to perform their job duties under:
Rock County Ordinance 18.613(d) – “The appointing authority may lay off an employee when an employee can no longer perform the essential functions of the job.”

**One of the County Board Supervisors, Yuri Rashkin, said it is unlikely they County will repeal the extreme vaccine mandate, but said “…it is possible the county might offer some ‘INCENTIVES’such as pay increases to staff…” who go along with being vaccinated.
